How we work

Six steps. No browsing. No shortcuts. No exceptions.

Every introduction we make follows the same path, for every member, in both directions. This page sets out each step, what we check, how long it takes — and who we turn away.

STEP I

You apply

A short written application: who you are, where you are in life, and what you are seriously looking for. There are no public profiles and no browsing — nobody sees your application except our team.

What to expect: ten to fifteen minutes to complete. We reply to every application within five working days.

STEP II

We interview you

Every East African member meets our team face to face — beginning in Entebbe and Kampala, with partner locations across the region. Every UK member completes a live video interview. The conversation covers your circumstances, your intentions, and your understanding of what a UK–East Africa relationship involves.

What to expect: around one hour. It is a conversation, not an interrogation — but it is honest, and we ask direct questions.

STEP III

We verify you

Identity is confirmed against a passport or national ID. Single status is confirmed by document and declaration. Where the interview raises questions, we ask for more — and we check what we are given.

What to expect: verification is usually complete within two weeks of interview. Nothing moves forward until it is.

STEP IV

We consult, honestly

A matchmaker consultation about what you are looking for — and a frank conversation about the cultural, practical and financial realities of a relationship across this corridor. We advise on the realities; we never promise outcomes.

What to expect: if we believe we cannot serve you well, we say so here, and no fee is taken.

STEP V

We propose an introduction

When our matchmakers believe two members are genuinely suited, each is told about the other. Only when both say yes does any contact happen — and first contact is arranged by us, not exchanged cold. Either member may decline, without explanation, at any point.

What to expect: we make introductions when they are right, not on a schedule. Some members wait weeks; some wait months. We will always tell you where you stand.

STEP VI

A supported first meeting

When two members choose to meet in person, we help plan a first meeting on the ground — a public setting, practical support with arrangements, and a member of our team reachable throughout. Family involvement is welcomed where members want it.

What to expect: what happens next belongs to the two of you. We remain available to both members for guidance as things progress.

Who we decline

We turn people away, and we always will. We decline applicants who are married or whose single status cannot be verified; whose identity documents do not check out; who misrepresent themselves at interview; whose interest appears to be immigration, money, or anything other than marriage; and anyone whose conduct gives our interviewers reason for concern about the safety of other members.

Declining is not a punishment and is rarely a judgement of character — sometimes we are simply not the right service for a person's situation. But an introduction service that accepts everyone protects no one.

Not a dating app

No profiles, no browsing, no swiping. Every introduction is made by a person who has met both members.

Not a broker

No money ever passes between members — in either direction, for any reason. A request for money is grounds for immediate removal.

Not a visa service

We give no immigration advice and make no promises about paperwork. What two people build is theirs to build lawfully.

What it costs

Membership is free for East African members — application, interview, verification and introductions included. UK members pay a single membership fee of [FEE — insert on confirmation], payable only after interview and verification are complete and we have confirmed we can serve you. There are no per-introduction charges, no success fees, and nothing else to pay — to us or to anyone.
